Tinnitus Evaluations and Treatment
Tinnitus is the perception of sound when no actual sound is present. It is often described as ringing or buzzing in the ears. Although there is no cure for tinnitus, there are treatments available. Tinnitus symptoms are personal and unique in nature. You may also experience decreased sound tolerance issues, such as hyperacusis and misophonia. Hyperacusis is decreased sound tolerance to ordinary sounds. Misophonia is characterized by negative reaction to a sound with a specific pattern and meaning.
We start with an in-depth evaluation to create a specialized treatment plan for you. Treatments offered may include hearing aids, sound generators, Tinnitus Retraining Therapy, or Neuromonics.
